Bayou Teche Brewing is whipping up a fresh batch of hand sanitizers by using their own equipment and supplies.
A local non-profit is also helping them pass out the finished product.
With a nationwide shortage of hand sanitizer, organizers say they want to help fill that void by creating and donating sanitizers to those in need.
"We just want to provide some sort of relief for people until the supply catches up and they can get it elsewhere," explained Courtney Pitre with Courtney's Thrifty Way Pharmacy. "We're not trying to make a business out of it, we're just occupying our minds with something positive while we deal with something very negative."
