An animal foster group is rescuing dogs in Acadiana and is in need of foster families.
Jamie Amie is the director of Precious Paw Prints Animal Rescue, a group that works around the clock to save animals from being euthanized.
Amie says fostering an animal doesn't have to be permanent, and providing a little love for a few weeks goes a long way.
Foster families are able to "hold them until they can get socialized a little bit, until they are vetted and find their forever families."
