The Brees Dream Foundation and Junior Achievement of Acadiana are partnering up to help high school students turn their big ideas into reality.
Thursday night at the LITE Center, high school students competed in the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge.
Five semi-finalist teams comprised of students from Acadiana High School, Teurlings High School, and Sacred Heart Academy pitched their ideas to a room of judges.
Team members attended six "Operation Shark" workshops to perfect their pitches over the last several weeks. Each team includes mentors from the Acadiana business community.
The local champion's school will receive $2,500 to use for student activities, and the winner will compete at the state competition on March 19 at the UL Student Union Ballroom.
