The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual State of the Parish Address today.
The event is open to the public, and during the luncheon, those in attendance heard from Sheriff K.P. Gibson, Police Jury President David Savoy and Superintendent Scott Richard.
“We just really want to give information out to the public that we’re growing. We’re seeing some reductions in areas of crime that we’re doing. We do have some areas that are a little higher still, but we’re working on reducing those as well. But, overall, (there are) really good numbers that we’d like to see on a three-year average,” said Sheriff Gibson.
