Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Crowley.
Sheriff K.P. Gibson says the incident happened on Lovell Street near Hunter Drive around 8:45 p.m.
The identity of the victim is unclear; however, neighbors tell KATC’s Kendria LaFleur the victim is an older woman that lives in the area and that someone hit her while she was outside
Deputies are currently looking for the person in question and gathering details on what kind of vehicle was involved.
Deputies are also trying to gather surveillance footage.
