The Rayne Police Department has arrested several individuals following investigations into drug sales within city limits.
The department says that the investigations have been ongoing for several months. Nine people were arrested as a result of the investigation.
The following were arrested and booked on drug charges.
Richard Langner- Distribution of Schedule I (Marijuana)-
Wilson Caesar- Distribution of Schedule II (Crack) and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug-Free Zone
Jodi Lopez- Distribution of Schedule IV (Alprazolam) and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug-Free Zone
Jason Mclelland- Distribution of Schedule II (Hydrocodone)
Chad Richard- Distribution of Schedule II (Meth)
Kenneth Simon- Distribution of Schedule II (Meth) and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug-Free Zone
Russell Griffin- Distribution of Schedule II (Meth)
Alton Wheeler- Distribution of Schedule II (Crack), Violation of Controlled Dangerous substance in a school zone. Also during arrest officers located 3 crack rocks in Alton Wheeler’s possession when he was located at Rayne City Court. Alton was also charged with Possession of Schedule II (Crack).
Janee Mouton- Distribution of Schedule IV (Suboxone)
