I-10 eastbound is now open.
Crowley Police had closed both lanes earlier while working a pedestrian-vehicle accident on I-10 eastbound.
The pedestrian, who police have been unable to identify as yet, apparently walked from the access road, known as VFW Drive, and into the path of an oncoming vehicle, Chief Jimmy Broussard said.
The man, described as white and in his 50s, was transported via helicopter to a regional hospital for treatment, the chief said. No word on his condition.
The driver of the vehicle who hit the man was not injured, but is shaken up, the chief said.
