A man accused of strangling the mother of his children was arrested Sunday after leading police on a high-speed chase in Crowley.

Tyler Foreman, 26, was booked with domestic abuse battery by strangulation and aggravated flight from an officer, jail records show. No bond has been set for his domestic abuse count, because of Gwen’s Law.

Foreman is accused of strangling and battery on the mother of his children, in front of those children, Crowley Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said.  When police caught up with him, he led them on a chase through town, exceeding 100 miles per hour, the chief said.

Foreman eventually crashed into a building, the chief said. Foreman was transported to a Lafayette hospital, where he was treated and released. He was then booked into the parish prison.

Foreman also was booked on an outstanding warrant, records show.
