Rayne couple arrested, accused of physically abusing woman with dementia

A Rayne couple has been arrested in connection with a case involving physical abuse to a 75-year-old woman with dementia.

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office says that 48-year-old Chasitty Mullins and 55-year-old John Mullins of Rayne were arrested on Tuesday, November 27 after an investigation revealed that a caregiver was found to have been physically abusing a 75-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

Chasitty Mullins was arrested and booked on charges of Cruelty to the Infirmed. Her bond is set at $75,000.

John Mullins

John Mullins was arrested and booked on charges on Accessory after the Fact of Cruelty of the Infirmed. His bond has been set at $10,000.

Both are currently in the Acadia Parish Jail.
