The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office says that Iota CenturyLink customers and now call 911 from landline.
The issue was fixed by CenturyLink within the last 30 minutes. Customers were advised to use their cellphones to dial 911 if there was an emergency.
The cause for the issue was not stated.
