Tuesday night in Rayne, the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce held a Rayne Candidate forum for constituents to meet the candidates.
The forum focused on three races, including Mayor, Police Chief, and City Council.
Tonight KATC spoke with the candidates vying for the Mayoral seat in Rayne.
Incumbent Chuck Robichaux says he wants to continue infrastructure improvements that began under his administration. “I have a comprehensive plan for infrastructure upgrades for electrical, sewer, and water, which is much needed.”
James Montgomery says he also wants to improve both infrastructure and community relations. “One of the biggest accomplishments I hope to bring to Rayne is to improve the water quality.”
Brian Mouton says if elected he’d bring proactive leadership. “I will have the ability to identify opportunities and provide solutions and give the people of this city a vision that will impact the masses.”
Voting for this race takes place November 6, 2018.
