The International Rice Festival has announced their entertainment lineup for this year’s festival.
The festival is scheduled for October 18-21, 2018 in Downtown Crowley and is an admission-free event. The festival is in its 82nd year.
Starting Thursday, October 18, 2018, two sound stages will provide entertainment as well as festival events such as a rice eating and fiddle and accordion contest, along with the crowning of the International Rice Festival Queen.
Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron and Category 6 will be making appearances again this year, according to the Rice Festival organizers. A few new acts including Gyth Rigdon, Glen Templeton, and The Fleurtations will also be performing.
“We are very excited about the lineup this year. Our goal was to offer a variety of music for festival goers and I think we did that this year,” says Chad Monceaux, 2018 Festival Chairman.
