Police officers from across Acadiana are participating in a continuing education conference.
During the two-day event held August 21 and 22, officers are taking classes on searches and seizures, report writing and domestic violence abuse among other topics.
Organizers say changing laws and recent court rulings make events like this necessary.
The event was held Tuesday at the Crowley City Court. Wednesday continuation will be held at the Grand Opera House of the South.
