Eunice Police are investigating a second shooting today, this one believed to be accidental.
An 18-year-old man was driving a vehicle on West Maple Avenue, with a 20-year-old passenger from Texas, the chief said.
The passenger had his gun in his hand, and opened his door to spit, and the gun went off. The driver was hit in the back, and is listed in stable condition.
The passenger, Sharoyd Malveaux of Bay Town, Texas, will be booked with negligent injury, the chief said.
