Even with the threat of COVID-19 in Acadiana, there are still several locations holding Independence Day celebrations.
Many of the events below have altered the way the public will be gathering for viewing. These events may change as they get closer to the day of the celebration. KATC will update accordingly.

Evangeline Parish
Ville Platte
The City of Ville Platte July 4th Fireworks Spectacular will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Northside Park starting at 9:00 p.m. Park at the park grounds or in the vicinity of the park; residents are asked to stay in their vehicles.
Jeff Davis Parish
Jennings
The City of Jennings Stars & Stripes Fireworks Show will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 9:00 pm at the Jennings Airport
Lafayette Parish
Youngsville
Friday, July 3, 2020 City of Youngsville Independence Day Celebration, a spectacular fireworks display for Youngsville residents beginning at 9:00 pm, can be viewed from your home, a local business or at the Youngsville Sports complex. The soccer and baseball fields will be open at 7:30pm, with concessions available. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. Viewers are asked to be respectful and mindful of social distancing, and to keep their ice chests at home.
*The City of Youngsville Louisiana Facebook Page will also feature a live streaming of the fireworks.
Broussard
The City of Broussard will host a live fireworks show on Saturday, July 4, at 9:00 pm. A drone operator will be capturing the show and livestreaming it to our Facebook page
St. Landry Parish
Frank's Poboys and Ledricka Johnson Thierry are hosting a July 4 Bike Ride. It starts at Frank's, located at 603 E. Landry Street in Opelousas. It begins at 7 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. There will be prizes for best patriotic decorated bike.
Vermilion Parish
Erath
The Town of Erath's "Light up the sky on the 4th of July" Celebration begins at 9:00 p.m. in Downtown Erath on Saturday July 4. Those attending are asked to adhere to the social distancing guidelines issued by the governor.
St. Mary Parish
Morgan City
The public is invited down to Front Street, the Floodwall and the Old Bridge to see the 4th of July Fireworks. The show begins at 9:00 PM on Saturday, July 4. The Long Allen Bridge (182) will be closed to traffic beginning at 8:30 PM for pedestrians to be able to use the bridge to view the fireworks.
