NEW IBERIA, La. – Iberia Parish Crime Stoppers is asking for help identifying the suspect involved in a robbery of a local business.
On April 30, deputies responded to an armed robbery at Pennywise, located in the 1500 block of Weeks Island Road. Surveillance footage revealed a man entering the business. He approached the cashier, placed a bullet onto the counter, stated “I will use it if I have to” and demanded money from the cash register and four packs of Kool cigarettes. The cashier placed an undisclosed amount of cash and several packs of Kool cigarettes into a plastic bag and handed them to the suspect who fled the scene on foot towards Weeks Island Road.
