THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE (SFM) HAS ARRESTED A CROWLEY WOMAN FOR SETTING FIRE TO THE HOUSE SHE WAS RENTING. — The State Fire Marshal's Office (SFM) has arrested a Crowley woman for setting fire to the house she was renting.

SFM says that 36-year-old Shirlana Tralar was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on one count of Simple Arson.

In the evening hours of Thursday, June 18, the Crowley Fire Department responded to a call for a residential fire in the 400 block of W. 8th Street. No one was home at the time of the fire.

After an assessment of the scene, deputies say they located multiple areas of origin and determined the fires were intentionally set.

Witness statements indicated the home's tenant, Tralar, had been seen leaving the structure minutes before fire was visible and she was identified as a suspect in the case.

With the assistance of the Crowley Police Department, Tralar was located and taken into custody. Following an interview with investigators, Tralar was arrested in connection with the case.
