A candelight vigil and balloon release was held in honor of a Rayne shooting victim.
On Monday, September 28, family and friends of Dalvin Washington gathered at The Boulevard in Rayne to remember the 38-year-old who was killed September 21.
Family asked those who attended the ceremony to bring candles, balloons, and flowers as a reminder of Washington.
A suspect was arrested last week in connection with Washington's death.
Police say 27-year-old Trey J. Prejean was arrested and booked on a charge of second degree murder.
