19-year-old Charles Travon Keenan Moore of Crowley was arrested for the shooting on July 3rd. A juvenile was also arrested in the case.

During that shooting incident, police say the 14-year-old boy was walking from a convenience store in the 1600 block of N. Avenue I when he was approached by Moore and the other suspect, who allegedly attempted to rob him.

A struggle pursued and the victim who had hot coffee in his hand threw it on the suspects and ran away.

The victim was shot in the back by one of the suspects, Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said.

The victim is still recovering from his injuries and is in good condition. This investigation is still on going and more arrests are expected.
