Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of money from an Acadia Parish crawfish wholesale business.

All three suspects were booked into the Acadia Parish jail:
Shane Gautreaux, 26, of Rayne was booked with Felony Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
Christopher Sonnier, 31, of Church Point was booked with Felony Theft
Heather Vincent, 38, of Rayne was booked with Felony Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.

Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office determined that an employee was distracting co-workers so that two other people could come into the business and steal operating cash.

A search warrant was executed on a house, and a large amount of the stolen money was recovered, deputies say.

“This case led to three people being arrested for their involvement in this theft. The deputies did an outstanding job leading to the recovery of the money which was stolen. I appreciate their hard work,” said Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
