Student, 14, accused of terrorism in Iota bomb threats

A 14-year-old student has been arrested in connection with the recent bomb and school violence threats in Iota.

The Iota Police Department with the assistance of Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office and State Police Intel Division executed an arrest warrant Monday for the teen

According to Iota Police Chief Damon Daigle, the 14-year-old student has ties to the Iota school system.

The teen is currently being held at the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office on four counts of terrorism.

Daigle says that more information will be released at a later time.
