A group of Rayne residents are meeting with the mayor and police chief Wednesday evening to discuss traffic issues in the city.
Residents are concerned about what they call excessive traffic and loitering that occurs on weekends.
The meeting was held at Mother of Mercy Church Community Hall.
One member of the parish council says they don't want to chase people away, instead they want residents to do the right thing.
"We are not trying to make people go away from our community, our church community," explained Anthony Derousselle, parish council president for Our Mother of Mercy Church. "We want them to come but to do the right thing when on our property."
