Winds and rain from Hurricane Laura has caused power outages across the City of Rayne.
On Thursday morning, the city remained relatively quiet as Laura brought high winds and heavy rains to the city.
Rayne Police say they only received one call about a tree down in the area of Polk street. A second call was received in reference to a fire caused by a downed electrical line.
First responders say they won't be responding to any calls until the winds die down.
