Police are on the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of 6th Street in Rayne.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and discovered one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
No further details have been released by police.
Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Rayne Police at 334-4215 or Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 337-789-TIPS.
