The Office of Disciplinary Counsel and a Rayne attorney have agreed to discipline against him.
Shane M. Mouton and the ODC agreed on a six-month suspension, which will be deferred while he serves a six-month period of probation, according to the state Supreme Court.
Mouton and the ODC agree that he had a conflict of interest by representing both a private client and the State of Louisiana in a child support collection matter.
Mouton will pay all the costs and expenses of the matter, the court ruled.
