Louisiana State University Eunice held commencement ceremonies today at the HPRE building on campus.

Over 150 graduates from the summer and fall semesters received degrees or certificates during the ceremony.

Speaking at commencement was Don Reber, the Commander of Veterans of Foreign War Post 8971 and current president of the Board of Advisors for LSUE.

Reber served with the U.S. Army Security Agency and was in Vietnam between 1965-1968. He earned a Bronze Star and 33 Air Medals during his service.

Danielle Thomas, a graduate in the field of Care and Development of Young Children, said if she could tell young people today one thing, it would be to "go back for your education. You're never too old to go back to school."
