Hurricane Laura debris will continue to be picked up this week in Crowley, barring any effects from Tropical Storm Sally on the city.
According to Mayor Tim Monceaux, the contractor hired by the city to remove Laura debris will continue starting on Monday, September 14. On their first pass, crews will pick up construction debris, which includes building materials, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture, mattresses, and plumbing.
After the construction debris is removed, the contractor will make a second pass to remove vegetation debris, like tree branches, leaves, and logs.
All debris MUST be placed on or near the curb for it to be removed.
