In Rayne, a home owned and renovated by Mayor Chuck Robichaux has been severely damaged from Delta.
Overnight, a large 100 year-old tree fell into the second street home, slamming through the roof and side of the home. The extent of damage is not known but neighbors say they do not believe it can be salvaged.
No injuries were reported.
This is a similar scene across the area. Robichaux says that downed trees and power lines have been reported. Local crews and those from out of state are in the area for clean up.
