The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office says a homicide investigation is currently underway after a woman's body was found outside of a residence near Iota.
Deputies were called to the 900 block of Ye Ole Country Road in Acadia Parish on Thursday, April 2.
Upon arrival, a woman's body was discovered outside of the home.
The sheriff's office says they are continuing their investigation into the incident and will update when possible.
The case is being treated as a homicide.
