RAYNE — A historic building in Rayne was damaged this morning while strong winds and rain moved through the area.

Worthmore's 5&10 store which is located in downtown Rayne had its signs partially torn off of its front.

A photo sent in by Erika Carlson shows minor damage to the sign on the building. It is unclear if there is any additional damage to the store.

Worthmore's 5&10 opened in 1936 and even has the same register as when the store opened.
