The 25th annual Germanfest in Robert's Cove wrapped up today.
Events began Saturday morning and included music, German food, German beer, folklore demonstrations and children's activities.
The small Acadia Parish community has maintained its connection to a strong German heritage and hosted the annual festival during the first week of October. It's always held at the St. Leo Catholic Church.
"This is where the Germans settled, and it's just different traditions and customs from generation to generation that we pass down, and a lot of people are family you know, related one way or another, but everyone is certainly welcome to come," said Susan Olinger, a festival-goer.
