Four people were arrested Sunday when Church Point Police executed a search warrant at a Plaquemine Street house.
The Narcotics Division assisted by the Patrol Division and Reserve Unit executed the warrant in the 400 block of E. Plaquemine Street in Church Point.
The warrant was issued following undercover operations by the Narcotics Division on this residence.
Police allegedly found synthetic marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth and pills, along with an SKS Rifle with a extended magazine and several items believed to have been stolen to trade for drugs.
Police ask that if you've had anything recently stolen that you haven't reported, please look at the photos to see if any of the items are yours. Police ask that you come to the police station to verify ownership.
The items included a black binder full of old collectible baseball cards.
"As my commitment to the community we are and will continue to conduct a fight against drug dealers in our town. Sometimes it seems like the dealing continues but we have to follow strict rules and investigation procedures to get search warrants and investigation takes time," Chief Dale Thibodeaux said. "This is the third time this residence has been busted by Church Point PD Officers since January of this year. The suspects were out on bond from previous drug arrest at the time of this arrest."
Police say a small child was present in the home; that child was released to a family member.
The investigation continues; more charges and arrests are pending.
