EPD: Fight between several juveniles resulted in shooting, two injured

EUNICE, La. — The Eunice Police Department responded to a shooting in the 400 block of East Maple Street that resulted in two being injured.

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot tells KATC that there was a fight involving several juveniles that resulted in gunfire. The two injured were 16 and 17 years old.

One of the juveniles was flown from Acadian Medical Center in Eunice to Lafayette General. Both are now in stable condition, Chief Fontenot said.

Eunice Police are encouraging any eyewitnesses to come forward with more details.

The scene in Eunice is now clear, and the investigation is ongoing.
