Youth in Crowley had the chance to explore careers and other future interests at a career fair held on Saturday.

Sponsored by community organization OneCrowley, the career day was held at the Martin Luther King Center on West Hutchinson, and featured representatives from various career paths.

Military recruiters, community colleges, and other various businesses were at the fair to answer questions.

Organizers say it was a chance to allow juniors and seniors to explore options besides the traditional four-year university path, and to help them focus amid the sometimes confusing days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"A lot of children nowadays, with so much going on with COVID and the whole nine yards," said Shawn Augustus with OneCrowley. "[We're] trying to give a sense of direction after high school. Basically, focus."
