CROWLEY, La. — A Crowley man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened Tuesday on West Fourth Street.

The shooting was the second of two shooting incidents that happened Tuesday evening in the city.

The Crowley Police Department have arrested Devone Joseph, 19, of Crowley and booked him into the Acadia Parish Jail on one count of attempted first degree murder in connection with the second shooting that took place Tuesday in the 1200 block of West Fourth Street. One person was in critical condition following that shooting.

Joseph is being held on a $200,000 bond.

The first shooting happened in the 500 block of Avenue A. According to Chief Jimmy Broussard, the first shooting left one victim transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers were on the scene of that shooting when they heard another shooting in the 1200 block of West Fourth Street a few minutes later.
