The Mayor of Crowley says that he is still recovering from COVID-19 and thanks the community for their continued outpouring of support.
On Thursday, Mayor Tim Monceaux issued the following statement:
“As I continue to recover in the hospital from COVID-19, I deeply appreciate and thank you for your outpouring of concern and prayers for me and my family. I am receiving excellent care and treatment, evidenced by my health’s improvement. I’m looking forward to the day I am able to physically return to work. I specifically want to acknowledge Mayor Pro Tem Steven Premeaux and thank him for representing me at the Crowley Board of Aldermen Committee Meeting yesterday.”
The mayor's office announced on July 23, that Monceaux was positive for the virus. At the time, he stated that he would be isolating at home while he recovered.
On July 30, Monceaux was admitted to a hospital for continued care as he recovers.
