The suspect arrested in connection with an attempted robbery and shooting in Crowley that injured one has been indicted in that case.
An Acadia Parish Grand Jury has returned a "true bill" on the suspect involved in the incident which happened on July 3, 2020.
The Crowley Police Department says that in the early morning hours of July 3, 2020, two people were walking back home from a local convenience store when they were approached by three men who attempted to rob the subjects at gunpoint. One of the victims threw a cup of coffee at the suspects in an attempt to escape. While attempting to escape, the victim was shot in the back.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
The Grand Jury found a "true bill" with regards to Jonteyvon Marks for two counts of Attempted First Degree Homicide. The charges, police say, are due to the fact that Marks allegedly shot the victim while attempting to commit the crime of Armed Robbery.
Marks is being held on a $250,000 bond at the Acadia Parish Jail Facility.
