A Crowley man has died following a Monday morning crash in Acadia Parish
Louisiana State Police Troop I says that Troopers responded around 10:30 a.m. on April 6, 2020, to a single-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 365 near Heinen Road in Acadia Parish. The crash, troopers say, ultimately took the life of 78-year-old Ronald Lawson of Crowley.
State Police say that Lawson was driving a motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve and exited the roadway. Lawson was ejected from the motorcycle upon entering a ditch.
Lawson, who was wearing a DOT approved helmet at the time of the crash, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. On Friday, April 10, State Police was notified that Lawson had died from his injuries.
Troop I says that Impairment is not suspected but standard toxicology samples were obtained for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation.
