A Crowley mother and her two small children are asking for help after a fire destroyed the interior of their home.
Shawana Bruno and her kids, who are 4 and 5 years old, were home when the fire started in a front room. They escaped through a back window, she said. Bruno's boyfriend went back in, and was able to keep the fire contained, she said. The fire department made sure it was out.
Bruno said she wants everyone to think about what could happen in their home, and be mindful.
"Make sure you have a plan," she said. "Back up your memories. Because when it happens.. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I'm going through. It's devastating."
