Crowley driver succumbs to injuries received in November crash

State Police say that a Crowley man has succumbed to injuries he received in a November 7 crash on LA 13 in Acadia Parish.

Troopers say the driver, identified as 56-year-old Tracy Gerard Monceaux of Crowley, died on November 9 from injuries he sustained in the single-vehicle crash.

According to troopers, Monceaux was unrestrained at the time of the incident.

An investigation revealed that Monceaux was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on LA Hwy 13, South of LA 92 when his vehicle reportedly ran off the roadway.

Upon exiting the roadway, troopers say Monceaux's vehicle struck a utility pole.

He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Troopers were informed on November 11 that Monceaux had succumbed to this injuries on November 9.

State Police say that impairment is unknown at this time, but standard toxicology samples were obtained for analysis.

The crash remains under investigation.
