Today there was a Christmas party with a special twist.
The community event, held in Crowley, had the usual "eat, drink, and be merry" theme, but this party wasn't focused on children.
"A parent's job is to take care of their kid, and no parent wants to get paid to take care of their kid," said Frederick Broussard, event organizer. "But every parent sometimes wants to feel appreciated. They want to feel like "it's my time to relax, my time to enjoy," and that's why the kids are going to serve them."
Activities included dinner, games, tree trimming, caroling, and overall good holiday cheer.
