The Vanilla Bean café in Crowley is not letting power outages caused by Hurricane Delta stop them from serving their customers.
The shop posted to Facebook that they will be open on Monday, October 12 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm serving a limited menu.
While much of Acadia Parish remains without power, the Vanilla Bean will be operating on generator power.
And while the café is hoping to bring some normalcy back to its customers by being open, they are also asking for patience from those who stop by for a drink and a quick meal.
"We ask that you please have patience with us and be nice to the girls," their post reads. "It's hot and we are short handed."
The owners say they have hooked up everything they can to the generator, but that all orders will be cash only and picked up at the door to go. The coffee maker and espresso machine are also currently not operational.
With the phone and internet down, the café says that they will also not be able to accept Waitr or phone orders.
