The Crowley Mayor issued a statement on Saturday about a part-time city employee testing positive for COVID-19.
“The Crowley Recreation Department and I were notified a part-time city employee has tested positive for COVID-19, said Mayor Tim Monceaux. "Upon learning of the positive test results, Recreation Director Peter Kirsch and I immediately contacted the Louisiana Office of Public Health to guide us through the process for handling such a situation. Pursuant to the recommendations of the Office of Public Health, those individuals who have met the criteria of direct contact with the part-time city employee have been notified. There were two individuals in direct contact, and those two (2), have been and will remain in a 14-day quarantine to avoid contact with other individuals."
During the pandemic, all Recreation Department employees are required to wear masks at all times and practice social distancing. Visitors are urged to continue to wear masks and practice appropriate social distancing. Seating in the grandstands is limited according to social distancing requirements. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets to spread out along the fences.
