RAYNE, La. - Hydrant testing will take place from Friday - Sunday in the City of Rayne.
Some residents will experience cloudy, or water tinting of the lime residue that stays dormant in the mainline pipes until a surge or heavy flow in the system occurs, which causes this to appear, according to officials.
The flushing is a necessary process to assure the city maintains the current Fire Rating or better.
