Charlotte R. Jeffers, who worked to promote the City of Crowley for many years, has died.
Jeffers, who was known to her friends as "Goldie," died suddenly, confirmed Mayor Pro Tem Steven Premeaux. She was 66 years old.
"She was very important to the city and to Crowley Main Street," Premeaux said. "It was a shock to all of us and no doubt about it, this is a great loss for our city."
Jeffers was always such a big help to our team here at KATC, and we will miss her and her emails, which always ended with "Have a Rice Day."
