An suspect wanted for a March armed robbery and who was arrested in April is now in the Acadia Parish Jail.

The Crowley Police Department says that 32-year-old Domonique Deshawn Batiste was arrested and booked on a charge of armed robbery.

Batiste was wanted by the police department in connection with a March 27 armed robbery incident at a Valero on N. Parkerson Avenue.

According to Police, Batiste entered the store with a handgun and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area on foot.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Batiste on April 2, after he was identified through crime stoppers leads.
