CROWLEY, La. — The Acadia Parish Police Jury along with the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce have announced the creation of the Acadia Parish Business Advisory Committee to provide insight and make recommendations when it comes to the economic livelihood and well-being of communities across the parish.

According to Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce President Chance Henry, the advisory committee comprises a strong group of business leaders, healthcare and local government executives who have a resilient sense of connection to Acadia Parish and are viewed as leaders by the community.

The advisory committee will include representatives from all sectors of Acadia Parish, reflecting organization between mayors and the parish government.

The Acadia Parish Police Jury will work with the advisory committee to help address parish level issues and will work with the Acadia Parish Chamber to coordinate best practices.

Henry says that the chamber and police jury have already received responses from several prospective members and hopes to have them finalized later this week.

After committee members have been determined, the advisory committee will then meet and will make public disclosures of the initial discussions, findings and actions to take during the meeting.
