After an absolutely stunning day on Tuesday, Acadiana will start to get a change in the weather pattern on Wednesday.
A very sunny start will eventually give way to mostly cloudy skies as clouds roll in from the west and moisture starts to pile up along a southerly breeze.
Those southerly winds are going to keep us warm, so even with a lack of sunshine, temperatures are still going to sit in the 70s through the afternoon.
This pattern is going to be dictated by a stationary front which is going to sit in north Louisiana for several days pulling in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
All of this moisture means that not only will there be plenty of clouds but a few passing showers will also be possible, with Thursday looking like the most unsettled day.
Keep in mind though that even Thursday the showers are expected to be mostly scattered and fairly light.
A pattern such as this one is a pretty good indicator that we are switching over to spring, so it looks like the 70s are going to become more and more common over the coming weeks.
