The clouds have moved in across Acadiana and plan on sticking around for the next couple of days.

Thursday is expected to be pretty dreary day with low laying clouds across Acadiana which will lead to foggy/misty conditions through a majority of the day and even a few scattered showers.

Showers on Thursday will stay mostly light and scattered until the evening when the showers start to pick up both in intensity and coverage.

The rain will continue through Thursday night and a majority of the day Friday, finally it'll start to ease up late Friday night but the clouds will stick around for the first half of the weekend at least.

In the meantime temperatures are going to sit in the low 70s, so it'll be fairly warm out there, and lows will stick around in the lower 60s

Despite a solid day's worth of rain, rain totals will stick around an inch so flooding isn't expected to be an issue nor is any kind of severe weather expected.
