It's your typical summer forecast for Acadiana here through the middle of the work week with a return of the afternoon showers.
A ridge of high pressure sits off to our west and rolling along the east side of this ridge is a disturbance that will likely spark a few showers for northern and western Acadiana.
Rain chances will remain at 40% so while most of us will stay dry it wouldn't be a bad idea to just keep an eye on the radar through the afternoon.
In the mean time temperatures will be in the low 90s, with a heat index running a few degrees above the thermometer, making it another typically hot Louisiana summer day.
The rest of the week looks a like the first half of the week with quiet weather across the board, with hot and mostly dry afternoons.
